Statistics, which serve as a mirror projecting all phenomena, surely are the most important sources not only to understand the economy and social situation of a nation but also to predict the future. Moreover, accurate statistics are a basis for setting national policy priorities and directions.

The NA, where the members oversee government’s economic and fiscal policies in a bid to suggest better options, needs to know and make full use of statistics. Within that context, the NABO has published a pocket-sized ‘National Finance on Statistics’ so that members of the assembly may carry it around and utilize it anywhere and anytime.

The book consists of 17 sections under 2 chapters. The 1st chapter lists the gross volume of national finance and economic indicators; the data such as macro-economic indicators would give a size of finance, revenues, expenditures and national debt at a glance. The 2nd chapter contains the current status and statistics on national finance and main issues along with related data in the 15 categorized areas including social welfare and health.
