The National Assembly Budget Office ("NABO") publishes 「Handbook of National Finance」 annually, which offers key statistics for the National Assembly's legislation and the deliberation of budgets and the settlement of accounts. Given that accurate statistical information is critical for the understanding of complex economic and social phenomena and for rational policy-making, it is expected that 「Handbook of National Finance 2014」 provides reliable and timely fiscal and economic statistics for the parliamentary deliberation and legislation processes.

This pocket-size handbook is comprised of three parts. Part 1, "Fiscal Statistics", presents the overarching statistical picture of the total amount of the government budget, such as the size of the nation's public finance, its fiscal balances, and its national debts. Part 2, "Statistics of Each Standing Committee", deals with the amounts of budget and major fiscal programs, split into government ministries, under the jurisdiction of each Standing Committee of the National Assembly. Lastly, Part 3, "Economic Statistics", includes the nation's macro-economic statistics such as GDP, employment, and prices.
